People usually feel irritated when they notice a major difference between the color of their face and neck. We generally look after our faces with facials, scrubbing, etc. But we forget about our neck which is equally exposed to sun, pollution, and dust. It is very important to cleanse your neck along with your face, but it is also essential to scrub and moisturize it on a daily basis. If you have not started looking after your neck, its time to try some home remedies. Excessive usage of chemical-based skincare products can be harmful to the skin, so better to go for simple harmless home remedies.
1. Yogurt
Yogurt has natural enzymes. This enzyme combines with acid in lemon and makes the skin smoother and fairer. It also nourishes the skin. Take two tablespoons of yogurt and mix with a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture on the neck. Leave it for about 20 minutes and then rinse it off.
2. Potato Juice
Potato has bleaching properties that help to lighten the skin to a certain extent. It also helps to detach the dark patches and makes your skin tone even. Crush a small potato and take out all the juice. Apply the juice on your necklet it dry completely. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. To get the best results repeat the process twice a day.
3. Baking Soda
Baking soda is very useful to take off the dead cells and dirt from your skin. It is alkaline in nature, thus balances the pH levels of your skin to make it glow. Moreover, it also nourishes your skin from within. Make a paste with 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda and water. Apply this paste on the neck and leave for some time till it gets dry. After that using wet fingers scrub it off. Rinse your neck well with water. Moisturize your skin well.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar helps to maintain the pH level of the skin, thus giving it a natural glow. It also helps to remove dead skin cells. It is a good exfoliator due to the presence of malic acid in the apple cider vinegar
Make a solution with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and four tablespoons of water. Apply this solution on to your neck area using a cotton ball. Leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with water. Use this method every alternate day. It's important to moisturize your skin after applying apple cider vinegar as it makes your skin dry.
5. Orange Peel Powder
Orange is a big source of Vitamin C which helps in skin lightening. Dry some orange peel under the sun. Make powder using a blender. To this orange peel, the powder adds some milk and apply on the neck. Scrub for 10-15 minutes and wait for some time so that it gets completely dry. Rinse off with water. Repeat this process every day to get the best results.
6. Honey And Lemon Mask
Lemon has skin whitening properties. And honey has moisturizing properties. When mixed together can bring the magic. It is one of the most common and popular remedies used by many people. Make a mixture of 2-3 spoons of honey and lemon. Apply the mixture on the neck area. Allow it to dry and rinse it off with water.
7. Almond Oil And Castor Oil
Almond oil and castor oil helps to make the skin moisturized and hydrated. This is another great remedy. Make a mixture of 5-8 spoons of almond oil with 10 drops of castor oil. Apply the mixture on the neck area. Massage for some time and rinse it off with lukewarm water. Thus makes the skin brighter and fairer.
8. Cucumber and Lemon
Cucumber makes the skin glow and feels fresh. They have a very soothing effect on the skin. Lemon juice contains citric acid which helps in the lightening of the hyperpigmentation. Make a solution with an equal amount of cucumber juice and lemon juice. Apply on the neck area using cotton balls. Leave it on the neck for ten minutes and then rinse off with water. This helps in lightening any hyperpigmentation.
9. Oats and Tomato
The mixture of oat and tomato helps to exfoliate the skin and remove hyperpigmentation. Grind the oat and blend the tomato into a puree. Mix both the oat and tomato puree to get a paste. Apply on the neck area and leave for 20 minutes. Scrub it off and rinse with cold water. It's important to moisturize well after using this method. Repeat this process twice a week.
10. Aloe vera
By limiting the production of melanin, the minerals and vitamins present in the aloe vera reduce pigmentation. Cut an aloe vera leaf, extract the gel. Apply the gel on your neck area and scrub it for a few minutes. Leave the gel on the neck area for half an hour and rinse it off with water.
11. Turmeric
Turmeric is used to brighten the skin tone, from the ancient times it is used in many beauty products. It also repairs the damaged skin cells. Take 1-2 tablespoons of plain yogurt and mix with 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder. Apply this paste on the neck area. After 15 minutes rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat these steps every day for good results.
12. Egg white
Make a foam by whipping the egg white. Add a spoon of honey or glycerin into it. Apply this paste on your neck area and leave it for 30 minutes. This remedy will quickly brighten up the skin tone.
13. Vitamin E capsule
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and can help to rejuvenate the skin. Pierce about 3-4 vitamin E capsules and transfer the oil to another bowl. Apply the oil on the neck area and massage it for a few minutes. Leave it overnight. Repeat these steps every night before going to bed.
