When babies touches the 6 month old milestone, it's time for them to step into the world of delicious and nutritious solids. As exciting as it is to introduce new foods when you start solids with your little one, there are a few things that should stay off the menu for the first year because they pose a choking hazard or are otherwise not well suited for babies.
Not at all leave your baby ignored having foods. Some foods causes choke on, such as whole grapes, raw vegetables, hard fruits, raisins, white bread, pieces of hard cheese, hot dogs, popcorn, and hard candies.It is important that you don't give some foods as they could cause health issues.We have to be very careful during the first year. Our little cuties have delicate digestive systems, and foods that don’t apt for their health might lead to the appearance of allergies.
The following are some foods which should not have in first year of a baby:
Cow’s milk to drink: Cow's milk should not be given as a drink for baby up to 12 months. Compared to breast milk and formula, your growing baby needs less fat, calories and nutrients.
Honey: Honey contains a bacteria that can generate problems to your baby's intestine. Honey causes rare syndrome called infant botulism in babies. Honey is also a type of sugar, which can be bad for emerging teeth.
Eggs: Ensure that the eggs are correctly cooked , until both the white and yolk are solid.
Avoid soft sticky foods: Some foods, such as peanut butter are hard for babies to eat as their sticky thickness.
Whole nuts: Do not give whole nuts as they can cause shortness of breath. Instead, you can give powdered nuts with baby food.
Cheese: Don’t give soft, impure or blue cheeses in the 1st year due to risk of food poisoning.
Kiwi fruit: kiwi fruit most likely to cause an allergic reaction to babies.
Salt: Babies’ kidneys are not mature to process salt and it can also come up with dehydration, so it shouldn’t be added to food before 12 months.
Sugar: Sugar shouldn't be given to babies as it contain
High fiber foods: Babies can get too full and not eat enough calories. High fiber foods can also interfere with your baby’s absorption of key nutrients. Avoid giving high fiber foods like bran, brown pasta and brown rice.
